Batman Party

A birthday party for your Caped Crusader! When the children arrive for the party give every child a cape and mask. Cut them from bin bags and tie the corners around their necks. Enlist another adult or teenager to face paint masks on each child.
Bead Party 
Pre-teen party with beaded jewellery and bead crafts. Let the kids make their own jewellry and take them home as party favours.

Ben 10 Birthday
An exciting party with Ben 10 party supplies! Stock up on a range of white t-shirts, some printable transfers and some fabric pens. Find some Ben 10 images on the internet and print some off on the special iron-on paper. Get each child to select a few transfers and set up an area where you can iron them on safely for them. Then get them to draw background images with the pens and take the t-shirts home to wear. Kids love to look the same as their friends!

Alternatively if you have a smaller budget, provide some white paper plates and get the kids to design them as flying saucers. After they've finished take them outside to see who's can fly the furthest!


BMX Birthday
Build a ramp and race your BMX, this one if definitely for those extreme sports fans! Have a BMX relay race with two teams and a few cones and tyres for obstacles.

Bob the Builder 
Have a ‘Can you fix it?’ party! Play ‘musical hat’ with Bob’s hard hat. Get the kids sitting round in a circle & when the music starts all the kids have a turn at putting the hat on, when the music stops the child with the hard hat on is out!

Care Bears Party
Play ‘musical clouds’ like ‘musical chairs.’ Before the party cut clouds from cardboard and stick on cotton wool. Place one cloud for each child on the floor. Play music while the children move around the room. When the music stops, they run to find a cloud to stand on.

CARS Birthday Party 
Before the party, mark a start and finish line with tape. Use a permanent marker to write each child's name on a wind-up car. Use a flag or cloth to start your race...Winner’s get some sweets or a plastic trophy!

Cat in the Hat Party
Play ‘Follow the Cat,’ like ‘Follow the Leader ‘except the leader is wearing 
a Cat in the Hat Stovepipe Hat. Take turns being the leader and don't forget that Seuss characters are silly & fun. So do silly things - flap your arms, wiggle around, hop on one foot, make silly noises...


Cheerleading Birthday Party
Create your own dance with your friends and video it ‘Give me a P, give me an A, give me an R...’ until it spells party! Make your own concession stand out of cardboard & give the kids popcorn, hotdogs and lemonade etc!

Cinderella Party 
Purchase paper tiara's (party store), glitter glue, and stick-on jewels.
Cover your work space and allow the little princess's to create their own tiara to wear and take home. Using stickers and/or glue dots when decorating cuts down on drying time, which allows your princesses to wear their new tiaras during the party.


Circus Birthday Party
With traditional carnival games! Use lots of red and white stripes, play ‘tin can shot’. Make a lion’s jaw with jagged teeth out of cardboard and have competitions who can throw bean bags into the jaw!

Clown Birthday Party
Stick lollipops into a Styrofoam ball, take it in turns for the kids to choose one, at the end of the stick put a task for the kids to do, i.e sing a song, do a mime etc. The kids who do it get a prize!
Construction Birthday Party
A party for little builders, use cardboard ‘brick’ blocks and see who can build the tallest tower in a designated time.
Cowboy Birthday Party
Play ‘tin can shoot’ played with empty plastic bottles & a squirt gun. Place three cans on a bench and take turns with the water gun. Have a rope tying contest with liquorice, or real ropes. Provide a rope for a tug of war. The winners can all have a go in a lucky dip, shred some paper into a cardboard box and add some prizes. Add bales of hay for kids to sit on, great for authenticity!

Cowgirl Birthday Party
Do the same as above. Put some tents/teepees up and invite half your friends over as Indians!

Curious George Party
 Go on a treasure hunt to find bananas, or museum artefacts for the Man 
in the Yellow Hat (Ted). Write or draw picture clues that lead from one clue to the next.

Dance Party 
Add music or a Karaoke, coloured lights and a glitter ball for the funkiest of parties! Provide plastic cocktail glasses filled with pink lemonade, sugar round the rim and umbrellas hanging off of a lemon slice.

Dinosaur Friends
A birthday for junior palaeontologists, play pin the horn on the Triceratops, then hide some prizes in a box of sand or an unused flower bed and get the kids to dig for their prizes!

Disney Princesses Party 
Have your guests in their favourite princess costume, dust them down with glitter on entry & provide them with materials to make their own princess crown!

Dora the Explorer Party 
Why not get the kids to make a Dora bracelet?! Use yellow beads & elastic string. Add a blue flower bead to the centre.  Draw up a Dora map and use it to find some 'hidden treasure!'

Elmo Birthday Party 
"E" is for an Extra special Elmo birthday party! Give the toddler guests musical instruments. Play Sesame Street music, blow bubbles and have a parade!
 
 Finding Nemo Birthday Party
Before the party, cut and hide paper clown fish with each child's name written on it. Each child has to find the fish with their own name on. Fish tags are redeemed to receive a party bag!

Fire Truck Party
Visit a fire station or if they're too busy to accomodate have some fun at home in the garden! Get into 2 teams, place some clothes in 2 piles, 1 for each team. The piles should consist of big, black boots, some trousers, a coat and a helmet to place on top of their own clothes. 

Ring a bell and the 2 teams race to get into their 'Fireman's outfit'. The 2 teams should then race through an assault course. When the child gets to the end of the assault course, they must take their 'Fireman's outfit off, leaving the pile for the next team mate in line. The first team to all dress up as a 'Fireman' and finish the assault course wins a prize!

Football Birthday Party
Set a goal up in the garden and score big time with this fun theme! Make some yellow cards and play the following game... Get the kids to play football and get the 'referee' to randomly hold up a  the yellow card during th game. This means that everyone has to stop and sit on the floor. The last person to sit down is out. Keep playing until there are only 2 people left and the winner then receives a prize.

Don't forget the oranges at half time!

Give out plant pots & seeds to all the kids and get them to plant the seeds and take them home as party favours, it’s great for birthday memories!

Power Rangers Party

For all those Power Ranger lovers out there! Play  Krytonite Throw:  Let the guest throw bean bags using ‘super hero’ strength. The child whose bag  goes the furthest wins. 

Play Giant Bouncy Ball Throw: Buy some bouncy balls and hand one out to each guest. Place a container and let children stand about 6 feet away.  Bounce a ball and try to get it in the bucket.  You could give these bouncy balls as a party favour.

Play Balloon Pop:  Blow up balloons and fasten to your fence in direct sunlight.  Give each child a magnifying glass and let them pop balloons using the sunlight through the glass. The first balloon popped wins. You can also give the magnifying glass as a favour.
 
 

Princess and Frog 

Announce the guests & upon arrival present them with their very own Royal Princess or Prince Crown. Cut out of cardboard a castle to colour in. When your guests enter, direct them to the castle to colour and play, until all of the guests have arrived. End the party with this quiet colouring time as well to settle the kids down.
